Its finally here in all its glory! The Summer has arrived...

The last few days have been really stunning here in Inchydoney, many glasses of craft beer and cold white wine have been served on the terrace, children have be bathed in the wonderful salty water of the Atlantic and generally the everyone is walking a little taller! Lets hope this wonderful dry and sunny spell continues...

Earlier this month, we were visited by some really special guests - some Basking Sharks decided to take up residence in the bay outside the hotel which was a real sight. Maybe they were heralding the arrival of sunny weather....

There is lots going on in West Cork this Summer and we have some great offers and packages available, so you can enjoy the wonderful West Cork during the day - from Whalewatching to Surfing and Kayaking to Kiteflying.. and in the evening return to the beautiful surroundings of Inchydoney.

We have been busy bees this Winter and Spring and have completed some pretty impressive work over the last few months. Our stunning Lounge has had a total makeover, as has our Gulfstream Restaurant, Guest Rooms and of course the Island Spa. Our friends at the Inchydoney Surf School are running some great Summer Camps again this year. The camps run every week of the summer from Monday to Friday from 10am – 1pm. 

Each day starts with suiting up at the surf school and heading down to the beach with the boards where the instructor will begin each day’s lesson with a brief introduction to a different surfing related topic.

With the theory out of the way, it’s into the water and surf, surf, surf. As the kids usually pick up on the basic techniques and style faster than older age groups, we encourage trick moves and water based games so they can really get the most out of their week!

 Repeat customers, do not worry. The kids will definitely not be bored.

We are really pleased to feature a joint exhibition of new paintings by artists Majella O'Neill Collins and Joan Maureen Collins. The "Desert to Sea" show will run from July 26, 2016 - October 2016. The exhibition will open on the 26th July with a welcome reception and an oppurtunity to meet the the artists from 11am to 1pm

"Desert to Sea" is the first of two joint exhibitions for the artists.  The second is “Sea to Desert” in 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. The exchange transpired when Joan, who is from Cave Creek, Arizona, attended The Sherkin Art Workshop on Sherkin Island in West Cork, run by international artist Majella O'Neill Collins and interior designer and colour consultant Cora Collins.  Majella and Joan discovered a unique synergy in their work, which sparked this collection. “Desert to Sea” explores the balance of elements in nature.
