The West Cork Literary Festival is one of Ireland's leading literary events. Featuring an exciting schedule of 5 day workshops, taught by highly experienced writers and creative writing teachers, a range of subjects are included: The Novel, Short Story, Memoir, Writing for Children and Poetry. Editor sessions also run throughout the week, giving ambitious writers the opportunity to have their work reviewed by a professional editor. Skibbereen Arts Festival – Skibbereen, Co. Cork, 22nd July – 3rd August 2016

Schull Regatta – Schull, Co. Cork, 6th – 7th August 2016

Masters of Tradition – Bantry, Co. Cork, 17th - 21st August 2016
Masters of Tradition celebrates Irish traditional music with concerts in the intimate venues of St Brendan's Church and Bantry House, Bantry, and has become one of the most popular festivals in the Irish traditional music calendar. Curated by the internationally renowned fiddler Martin Hayes, it celebrates traditional music in its purest form and creates the space for the heart of the tradition to be exposed.

Baltimore Deep Sea Angling Festival – Baltimore, Co. Cork, 25th August 2016
Celebrating its 50th birthday this year, the Baltimore Deep Sea Angling Festival, south west Ireland's oldest sea angling competition, is known for exciting fishing and good company. The four-day competition usually attracts around 60 anglers from both Ireland and abroad, and is open to all – either individually or as a team.
